marketing research assistant

T he Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program in JMU’s College of Business offers students a chance to partner with faculty mentors on substantial research projects that span the full research process, from literature review and survey design to data collection, cleaning, analysis, and result writing.
As a part of this program, I am currently working alongside associate professor of marketing, Dr. Janna Parker.
CANCEL CULTURE & CONSUMER BEHAVIOR STUDY

Design qualitative studies examining the motivations, interpretations, and responses to cancel culture events.

Curating media examples, developing discussion questions, and building surveys in Qualtrics to support focus groups and interviews.

Gathering and synthesizing insights using AI platforms and secondary tools (Perplexity).
BETA TESTING AI RESEARCH PLATFORM

Supported the beta testing and refinement of Meaningful, providing detailed feedback and performance reports for the platform’s founders.

Evaluated qualitative research workflows using AI tools, exploring how automation can enhance ideation, analysis, and insight generation.
